Jay has been coaching youth baseball since 1998 when he volunteered at Lillington Parks and Recreation. In 2012, his 15U Lillington team went on to win the Dixie State Championship and represented NC in the Dixie World Series. During his coaching career Jay has coached multiple kids that went on to play collegiate baseball. During college Jay served as student manager for baseball teams at Wake Forest and Campbell University. He has also coached basketball and soccer at the parks and recreation level. He is a member of American Baseball Coaches Association.
