Carolina Freedom Strong Offense Falls Just Short To Carolina Rampage

Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but Carolina Freedom 9U fell to Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U 16-8 on Sunday in the Winter World Series Championship Game.

The Carolina Freedom 9U struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U, giving up 16 runs.

Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U fired up the offense in the first inning. Brayden drew a walk, scoring two runs. Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U pulled away for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third Grant drew a walk, scoring one run, Miles tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs, Lawson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Garrett grounded out, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U, and Cole reached on a dropped third strike.

Brayden led things off on the mound for Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U. He surrendered eight runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out four.

Caleb T. was on the mound for Carolina Freedom 9U. He surrendered nine runs on eight hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Colin M. threw one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.

Jackson A. led Carolina Freedom 9U with two hits in two at bats. Carolina Freedom 9U stole 13 bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Jackson led the way with three.

Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U tallied 13 hits in the game. Noah, Grant, Lawson, and Miles all managed multiple hits for Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U. Noah went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U in hits. Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U didn't commit a single error in the field. Brayden had five chances in the field, the most on the team. Carolina Rampage Baseball 9U tore up the base paths, as five players stole at least two bases. Grant led the way with four.
