Dirt Bags Black 9U Captures Lead Early To Defeat Carolina Freedom 9U

Carolina Freedom 9U watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 15-3 loss to Dirt Bags Black 9U on Saturday. Dirt Bags Black 9U took the lead on a stolen base in the first inning.


The Carolina Freedom 9U struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Dirt Bags Black 9U, giving up 15 runs.


Dirt Bags Black 9U fired up the offense in the first inning. Scott lined out, scoring one run.Dirt Bags Black 9U scored six runs in the fifth inning. Dirt Bags Black 9U's big inning was driven by a triple by Hanzel and a single by Copeland.


Jones got the start for Dirt Bags Black 9U. He allowed two hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking zero.


Parker G toed the rubber for Carolina Freedom 9U. He surrendered five runs on zero hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Braxton E and Colin M entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.


Carolina Freedom 9U racked up eight hits on the day. Jackson A and Braxton all collected multiple hits for Carolina Freedom 9U. Braxton and Jackson each collected two hits to lead Carolina Freedom 9U.


Hanzel led Dirt Bags Black 9U with two hits in four at bats. Dirt Bags Black 9U tore up the base paths, as nine players stole at least two bases. Pittman led the way with five. Dirt Bags Black 9U didn't commit a single error in the field. Jones had the most chances in the field with two.
